Clearfork Valley Watershed Project
Partening with the Upper Cumberland Watershed Watch and the Appalachian Coal Country Watershed Team, Woodland has created the Clearfork Valley Watershed Project. Through this project, the Upper Cumberland Watershed Watch will help us train volunteers to monitor water. Volunteers will test water quality three times per year.

Big Dip 2009 The summer of 2009 we collaborated with Appalachia Science in the Public Interest in their Big Dip project collecting samples from as many first and second order streams (the little ones that feed into the larger streams and rivers) as possible. This was a great opportunity for some of our volunteers to get more deeply involved in water testing and for us to gather some useful preliminary data. Much thanks to Bethany Pratt, the Summer Associate VISTA at ASPI, for all her work on this project. |
