Welcome To

Woodland Community
Land Trust
and Development Corporation

The Mission of the Woodland Community Land Trust is to acquire a land base that will allow for diversified housing options, sustainable income production opportunities, social and educational services, and for a cohesive community development effort.

Woodland Community Develoment Corporation's mission is to offer housing and small business opportunities primarily to the very low and low income residents of the Clearfork Valley community through cooperation with the local community land trust. We aim to nurture community economic growth through initiation and assistance to microenterprise and small business. Woodland has also committed to promoting the well being of youth through education, leadership in the community and strong personal growth.

Woodland Community Development Corporation and Woodland Community Land Trust work together to achieve these goals.

Martin Luther King Jr Day Science Fair

The Woodland Community Land Trust hosted the first Science Fair on Martin Luther King Jr. Day for students in 6th through 12th grade and enrolled in GED classes.  In 1994 Congress passed the King Holiday and Service Act.  This Act changed Martin Luther King Jr Day into a of day service, not a day off, in honor of Martin Luther King Jr.  Dr King was quoted with say “Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve.”  To find out more on how the event went, check out the MLK Day Link in the toolbar above.
